About Me

David Allen AICB PM.Dip

DAA Services Ltd has been set up by me, David Allen. I am a retired software designer and developer and worked for a large legal Firm in the City of London, I retired in 2017.

I am an Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, ICB, qualified Payroll Manager. I hold the ICB Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management. I am a certified Bookkeeper and hold the ICB level 2 qualification. I am an Accredited Practitioner in the FreeAgent accounting software. I am also an Accredited Practitioner in the Sage online accounting software. I hold the Certified ProAdvisor in the Intuit Quickbooks accounting software package. I am fully trained in the use of double entry bookkeeping processes.

My current clients are a Limited building company where I am the bookkeeper and run their payroll and a sole trading business for a building contractor. Plus a couple of other small sole trading businesses.

I live in Southend-on-Sea in Essex, with my wife Susan. I have a son, a grandson, a granddaughter, a step daughter and a step son. I work from home in my study to carry out my bookkeeping work but I am prepared to work on a clients site if required.

My Interests and hobbies.

  • I am the Treasurer of the Southend Junior League, Youth Football League, since 2009.
  • I am the Secretary of the Southend Junior League, Youth Football League.
  • I run the gate at Hullbridge Sports Football Club for their home first team games.
  • I am an Exam Invigilator for the Eastwood Academy, a local secondary academy.
